Greetings:
I guess this note is under the realm of an "Unsolicited Testimonial", but I thought a recent experience would be of interest to you.
I am assigned as Firearms Instructor for our Sheriff's Department, and as part of that Duty I perform annual maintenance on the Department's Sig Sauer pistols. In that maintenance, I use your product Break-Free CLP to clean and lubricate the interior working parts of the weapons, when they are disassembled.
The Break-Free is also issued to our officers for use in their user maintenance of the weapons when they are field stripped for cleaning.
In the recent flooding which occurred in South Texas, one of our officers had the misfortune to have his home inundated. His duty weapon was covered in water for a period of seven days. When it was recovered from the floodwater, it was not serviced for 10 days. The only damage noted upon interior inspection and subsequent servicing was minor surface rust on the exterior of the slide, where the duty holster had rubbed most of the lubricant from the surface, and in the interior of the magazine tube, where the magazine spring has worn against the surface. The small amounts of rust were cleaned and a small amount of cold blue has made the weapon serviceable with virtually no signs of exterior damage, and none whatsoever on the interior surfaces.
Needless to say, I highly recommend Break-Free to our officers, and will continue to use it for our maintenance programs. I would highly recommend it to any user needing a professional quality product, to maintain premium firearms.
Sincerely,
David L. Guy, Lieutenant
